didn't buy my car from them but seeing as i have my car serviced there its the least they could do. it would work out cheaper if i bought VAG COM myself and then charged for people to have it enabled! at around £40 i'd soon make my money back!

as we so often see from VW, their product is let down by their appalling customer service

i reckon some of us lot should get together and set up a dealership! we'd make a killing just by being nice to the customer!

I second that, but sadly as we know most stealers only care about £Â£Ã‚£$$$$$ and I dont think VW stealers have to try very hard, as they are so popular they couldnt give a monkeys if you dont go back.

I found auto locking to be a PITA on mine, because when I switched the engine off and I opened the drivers door, the rest remained locked.

Wouldnt 2 pulls on the interior handle unlock them?

Yes it did, but as most of the time I never remembered to tug it twice  :embarassed:, I was forever walking around the passenger side, only to find it lock

They do, if the doors to not unlock when the keys are taken out the antihijack has not been enabled correctly. There are two parts to it

1 - lock doors over 9mph
2 - enable unlock when keys are removed

If your doors do not unlock when you take the keys out then you need to get it back on the VagComm again. I bet if you are driving along and try to unlock the doors using the button above the grab handle they will relock instantly.

I think thats a seperate system - the one that only unlocks the drivers door when you press unlock, a second press unlocks the rest.

Not sure whats it's called by it is programmable in highline.

The anti highjack just locks the doors when you pull off and unlocks with the key out, or you can open one door with two lever pulls.

Is there a push button locking system on GTI as there is on the door of my A3 - or is it computerised or nothing??

Quick reply would be appreciated before I collect tomorrow.
