and im paying £1550 on my Golf until renewal next month.

if you don't mind me asking, how much is your car valued at? it seems mental to pay that kinda money to go fully comp (i presume)

that was when i was 18.TPF+T

My renewal is £1100 fully comp. I valued my car at £800 i think.

f**kin hell mate that's dear! i'm £600 TPFT, 19 and no NCB. i thought you mustve been fully comp for that price. i'd be temped to get a 1.8T or VR6 like  search on confused, i've had decent-ish quotes about what you're paying now for a VR6 rado.

it's area and all that isn't it though?

who are you with?

TooFunkyHouse- i know it's pricey but were you driving around in a mk2 GTI when you were only just 18

i'm wi elephant, cheapest around for me. yeah mind they vary by mileage too, so you don't want to be paying to be covered for miles you don't use. TPFT is the way to go on cheap cars, cos excesses are massive for us young drivers, and then you couldn't justify claiming for the value of the car and the increase in premiums thereafter.

just ran through moneysupermarket. I get quotes of £700-800 but go on their site and it turns to over a grand.I may just change my current cover to TPFT. I'm with Admiral so i'll call 'em in the morning and get TPTF to save some pennies.
