Let me know. I reckon you'll save a bit but car insurance is a funny old world.

I have aftermarket tints and confused requires you to tick the modifed box for tints and so all the companies rejected me.  went with direct line in the end.  :smug:

Had to call my stealer on the same subject - he said it is not categorised, just standard factory fit!

Certainly some big premium differences with different insurers. Currently going thro' a broker who got me deal with AXA I could not get online for my current Audi group 11 - but the buggers have clobbered me for an extra £38 for the next 2 months.  Looking forward they say that by switching me to Cornhill next year (£440) will save £130 against AXA - but I will look around.  I'm an even older git than Paulm - and I have recently dropped the last of my points too.   Perhaps I should try getting rid of the wife on my policy - my 22 year daughter saved £50 when re-newing her Swift Sport by leaving me off her policy!!

Anyway all set up now and ready to collect my silver Edition 30 on Saturday - could be a great double with Man U. taking the Cup too.

Do factory tints count as a 'modification' - or are they part of the standard car as they are an optional extra?!

Anything that is factory fit is classed as standard. They may ask you what options you have fitted though, but this shouldn't increase your insurance premium.
