That VW bus is shocking, you wouldn't have a chance in hell of surviving.
10 golfs and counting! 

Engine cranes = the ultimate tool to test the tensile strength of Everything you didn't disconnect!

my first car was a mk1 fiesta, totaled that, i'll see if i can scan in the pic of the damage...was quite impressive.... :) did a good job of protecting me, mainly from the the third party who tried opening the door to hit me, but the panel had shifted back so the door wouldnt open!!! shame, if he had maybe the insurance claim would of be different.

although my smash was only at about 40mph.

nice mk1 mate, what engine did it have?

mine had a 1.3 supersport (think thats what it was called!) put in it when it was changed to run on unleaded!
yet still had the 1.1 carb,  had a lot of popping in the exhaust, was quite nippy too!

i'll scan the pick of the damage tomorrow at work, quite impressive.

mine was a 1.1, again changed to run on unleaded. it had one silencer as standard which i changed for a cherry bomb one... it then failed the MOT due to excessive noise!!  :sad:

was the most reliable car ive ever owned! :smiley:
