Wheel info req for new mk3 owner!!
« on: 10 May 2007, 21:30 »
Alright lads need some wheel info as i'm moving over to the dark side from my beloved mk2 to mk3 vr6.  Not sure what offset is best for mk3, the ones i've seen are 7.5jx17 et34 with 205/40 tyres. Will only be dropping car by 40mm or so to keep nice comfy ride. My mk2 dropped 70mm on coilover, 7x15 et0 wheels. Thanks

Not totally sure on this but I believe the offsets can vary between 34 and 38.

Not sure on the offset mate but my vrs been lowered -35mm and has TT copys and 205x40x17 tyres just to give you an idea of how it will look. Id check with a garage or other vr owners if you think about going more than -40mm you need a uprated anti roll bar as it can catch....
