New Gti - Quick Question

Finally picked up Gti this morning and can hardly wipe the smile off my face!!

One thing though, the sidelights seem to be on all the time, is it possible to stop this? I've got highline computer but cant seem to find it on the menus.

Will post some pic's later  :grin:

Wouldn't the headlights be on all the time, if it were in auto mod.  :smiley:

I assume this is talk is about the main lights which when set on auto, they come on when it starts getting dark Or when you go above 80mph (i think its 80) and then go off after a few minutes when you bring the speed down.

I leave mine on auto all the time.

I too leave them on auto, but they only come on when it's going dark.

Wipers I leave in auto too, I hate driving the other halfs car, I have to remember to turn things on manually!!!  :wink:

Ha ha no, the knob is to the left! Its an import so maybe the reason? Just going to try and get to grips with photobucket to post pics....

They are probably daytime running lights (DRL)

They have to have them in some states in the US and it's illegal to disable them.  (hence why there is no option in convenience menu)  There is a setting in VAG com to do this though.
