Remember my "i wouldnt have a mk1/2" thread? and everyone chucked yan at me...?

well... ive been to my local VW a few times since then and looked at my camera fone pics of the mk1 and its growing on me... i probably wouldnt own one... but its growing on me... I think I need to drive it to get the full "feel" of it...

And as for the mk2... I was kinda basing it on my mates ... *hang on while I find suitable words* ........... ******* MINGING GOLD THING...

Its not a GTI or owt... but its a rusty mess of gold and orange.. YUK..

anywayz, just been looking at Ash's sig and I must say... Tho its modded... its very nice.

*btw, I kinda have a small grudge against the mk2 basically cos my mechanic neighbour ALWAYS disses my mk3 and says its crap... and he owns a mk2 GTD... ... ...  so I have a tendancy to slag off mk2's ... its a habit..*

but.. ash... nice mk2... beware of speed bumps and kerbs!

I still reckon I need to drive both mk1/2 to get the full appreciation... ive only driven mk3/4 .. and sat in a mk5.

But I think I need to drive a "tidy" mk1/2 ... not sum old rust bucket...

one of the reasons i've stuck with vw's is that a couple of my mates had mk2 8v's
