If you don't mind a bit of a day out to get it looked at, I can thoroughly reccomend JCB Skoda in Basildon, Essex for servicing/repairs

I would never leave any car of mine with the local stealership

When i here stories like this it just gets me so worked up. It's so annoying that these companies get away with things like this, especially a VW "dealer". Complete joke.

My motor is due for an MOT in the next few weeks and I just have no confidence in anyone anymore.

While we are on here anyone know a good place to get MOT'ed in the South London / South East area?

I had the blue warm up temp light permanently on on my 1.6 new bug...took it to the stealers who charged me £135 to look at it and tell me that it was an ecu problem and would cost £1200 for the ecu and £300 to fit and set it up so £1500 plus vat.
Took it to Storm Developements where Andy put the VAG-com onto it and found that one of the temp sensors was reading well below the actual temp hence the avaerage temp being down from all sensors and the blue light being on. £40 later all was solved.

Stealershave nice showrooms and mechanics bays....got to pay for it somehow.

If it's any concellation my mate took his Celica to the Toyota garage and was quoted £700 for needing new pads and discs all round. Cost him £200 for all the original bits and I fitted them in 1 1/2 hours on my driveway.....

I think heated mirrors normally come on when you switch on the rear screen de-mister thingy?
