What Exhaust?
«

I have the Golf GTI 8v mk3 and I want a decent exhaust... but: -
1: I dont want a stupidly loud one (Peco Big Boar etc)
2: I want more of a Subaru tone... than a Nova with big zorst!
3: I want twin pipes
4: I want it Stainless Steel not Mild Steel
5: Only a backbox, not the full system
6: Upto ?150
... any recommendations?

DTM are very outdated now and you always see them on ebay with people trying to sell them on. I like the shotgun style exhausts.
Any stainless steel rear box will give you the noise you are after as the metal absorbs the sound waves in a different manner to mild steel systems so you always get a rasping type noise.
I would go for something like a scorpion or a jetex, but find out if you can fit the other parts needed to make it a full system at a later date.

Well I've looked at "twin pipe" Magnex & Scorpion so far ... and they are around the ?150 mark...
What are "Sebring", "Supersprint" and "Janspeed" like?
... I aint found anywhere selling Jetex yet, also VW sell a "sports exhaust" full system thats produced by Jetex!
