« on: 09 May 2007, 15:15 »
I am looking to get my allys refurbed.

Came across Lap Tab in Birmingham. Has anyone used them / are they any good?

Has anyone got any recommendations for companies refurbing alloy wheels in the Midlands.

LabTab are your best bet, you're close to them too.

not sure about companies, but i am doing my own
so far have taken all the existing paint/rust off and looks pretty good
now to sand it down and polish it, then with the painting

well, this would be my first time
anyways, when i said polish i meant to say smooth the metal, you know like you do car panels, different grades of sanding etc
and i was thinking of leaving the outer bit with no paint, just shiny metal, would need to put a protective coat on it too

I get ya
You dont need to remove the old paint you know, just sand back to metal where its really bad, little bit of filler if needed then prime ontop
