Side mouldings for 5dr 16v

Hi, I need some side mouldings for my 95' gti 16v 5dr, does anyone know if I can buy new ones as the tin worm has rusted under the plastic, and if i can, where can i buy them??

try places like euro car parts and maybe main dealer. also try your local scrappies, i got a set of thinner door mouldings for my gti for £20

presume you mean the sill strips if they have rusted as the side mouldings are all plastic. a comman problem on all MK3 Gti's

hi yes its the sill strips that sit just below the door shuts and above the plastic covers on the sills if you get my drift!!

I was under the impression that the 63mm wide GTi side mouldings had a thin metal strip in them.


I would have thought that all you want will be available at Eurocarparts or GSF. The main dealers are not much more expensive on these kind of items.

I tried gsf today and they dont sell them, but told me that they get asked for them all the time as they rust like crazy lol so I phoned up vw and they had em in stock for £25 inc per side.
