Not unlike my black beast. Good choice.

I bought a satnav unit off dj.kolia on Ebay for £379. Much cheaper than a stealer would want for it. Easy fit, just be careful where you place the GPS antenna. I recommend the ebay guy, he was really helpful and easy to deal with.

Try Meguiars carnuba wax, makes my car have a lovely deep shine. Also keeps the old mk4 looking sweet even for her 65k miles.

P21S canubau wax is good. at £19.99 its a bargain. Use the P21S bodywork cleanser polish and then apply the wax! Makes my black golf gti look the dogs toilet parts!

JamesT - looks good in black.  However, where are your floor mats?  The GTI standard spec included carpet mats front and rear!

The windsreen issue - as bonded windscreens are considered (and designed that way too) part of the overall structure of the bodyshell, they are subjected to - and must also resist - certain torsional and bending forces.  As laminated screens consist of two thin outer layers of glass, and a "sandwich" filling of a special flexible plastic type polymer (this is the bit that holds the glass together after an impact causing glass fracture).  Any repeated bending of this polymer will render it opaque - in a similar way that the old fashioned dymo tape went white if you bent it!  :nerd:
