New to this forum.
I've had my GTi (200) since Sept 05 - and yes, the wait from ordering in Feb 05 was painfull ! !
Learnt a lot from reading the forum all ready - thanks, but could do with a bit more help with an ongoing problem of interior rattles.
The dealers (Pentraeth Anglesey) have had a few goes with limited success and I'm keen to try and get these things sorted before the warranty expires and would be keen to hear other members experiences.
Rattle from centre upper dash vent. -They put some felt which helped, but still a rattle in there somewhere. Door card/trim rattles - the door base speaker (soundpak fitted) was replaced which helped but both (2 dr model) door trims still rattle. I've heard from a colleague who has a Mk 5 R32, that the same dealer has replaced the door cards on his car as there is some sort of know fault - anybody else heard of this ?
Rusty Hubs: Yes I've got this effect but I'd considered it normal and will perhaps try some heat resistant paint in a years time or so.
Soundpak: Seems to me to have more depth than the standard demo I tried. Mind you VW (UK) were also very vague as to what the specification of the upgrade actually was.

Both door cards replaced by the dealer under warranty in Nov 07 - door rattles now cured !
