I have done all of the above. Fitted some very nice Alpines in, all is very neat and tidy.......
Before I go on, I would like to state, I am not a boy racer who lives at home and spends all his money sticking bits on to the car and drives it up and down the High street like an idiot.
......The thing with sticking the speakers in the doors is that it has an inherant problem with the amount of space around the speaker, this will reduce the amount of travel back and forth from the woofer thus losing a certain amount of that warm deep bass.
The speakers do sound good, I just wanted to try out the above theory hence wanted to track down a cheap 2nd parcel shelf I can hack up. No tears if it all goes wrong eh
