Grab these for the start price if you can, on the last day http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/vw-volkswagen-mk2-golf-gti-corrado-8v-16v-suspension_W0QQitemZ250112971983QQihZ015QQcategoryZ9889QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

They'd be fine as a cheap upgrade I reckon, but ask the seller if they came off a 8valve or 16valve, (you need 8valve ones) as I read on another thread that the 16v Mk2's sit 30mm lower with standard shocks because of engine weight and whatever.

Wouldn't these make the car sit low at the back but higher at the front?

Has anyone tried any of the £200 coilover kits? (e.g. TA Technix or HotTuning)??

Going to get the bits end of June (after exams), and driving a SEAT at mo, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Got standard 8v GTI shocks and springs in my garage doing nothing, you can come and get them if you want, no leaks afaik and didn't give me a problem.

£10

If they're 16v ones, yes, but thats why I mentioned to ask the seller first.

Put an Anti Roll Bar on your car too, if you haven't got one.  I've just put one on mine and the difference is really outstanding, it's now like a go kart going into corners because the front end does'nt drop down. It cost me £10 from the scrappy and is from a 5 door so its slightly thicker (firmer) than the 3 door ones. The best £10 Iv'e ever spent.
