When you said in that post that you had to de-solder / solder the connector, I assume you were meaning from the original aerial onto the new one?

yep, just basically cut the coax and solder it back with the right plug, easy  :smiley:

Cool... I was worried for a second that I'd be trying to change the plug whilst it was attached to the roof!
At least if its a straight swap over I can do this inside!

I ordered the shark fin one like BMX's on Friday morning from the same seller on ebay - in Hong Kong.
It arrived this morning!!  VERY impressed with the service.

Now all I need is a car to stick it on  :laugh:
