Well in that case I'm going to have to give you all something to drool over for a while and with a bit of luck it might put some off ordering Silver

Cheers Guys,

Mine was ordered late Feb, been told that it will hopefully be the first week in July.

This will be first brand spanker, so the wait is painfull to say the least.

On test driving one it seemed about the same performance wise as my Leon but its the quality and ride that impressed.

Cant wait to get a nice double din DVD fitted also.

Do you know your build date yet?  Seems odd how yours was ordered the same sort of time as mine, yet I was told it would be another 6 weeks tops (mid June - and originally told 1st week in June)

Havent seen any build dates, was told that it will pdi on the 26th of June and should be ready about a week after this.

I have gone for an import as it saved me over 4 grand.

Searching around here seems as if Motorprovider is a popular choice.

Hi John

Don't post on here much myself but been kicking around a while...

If it makes you feel better, i waited 16 weeks and 5 days for my GT

(admittedly I was hell to live with in that time!)

Seemed every time I went to the stealers, the time got longer!!!

Still I've had him six months now, strange how quickly that time goes in comparison!!

Cheers Lynsey

It dosent help matters as I work opposite my local stealers, everyday I look out the window and am greeted with a 15 foot VW sign, plus new shiny golfs sitting there,

Its a painfull reminder

I called the dealer today to try and get a delivery date as I was getting a little worried by some of the comments above.  He said it's showing as "On Ship" and I will probably be getting W/C 14 May.   (ordered 23 Feb)

I asked why some of you have been quoted longer times by your dealers and he said that it's based on the particular dealerships allocation.
