buying tyres

Ok i know the best type of tyre but who sells them,? anyone know any good retailers for price/choice in the hampshire area?  :smiley:

I'd use the internet. Try www.mytyres.com if you think you could find a fitter, or www.blackcircles.com and get them supplied straight to a local fitter (but don't use their mobile fitters as I've seen complaints on here about them and you have very little come back in terms of warranty)

As wantmygti states, after checking the exact size, including the load/speed index, log onto mytyres or blackcircles - get a ball-park figure.

Then look in yellow pages, and phone around a few, shopping around for prices.  On my S4 boots, I managed to get nigh-on £80 per corner knocked off some prices - now that is worth half a day on the blower!

Avoid Thik-Fit at all costs, and give these a try http://www.protyrefareham.co.uk/ - they have a nationwide reputation as being truely excellent - and pretty close to Phil too!

Micheldever tyres are one of the the best in that area. I've been very impressed with their price and service. Honest John (Telegraph) always recommends them too.
