I have my eyes on a JVC model with Bluetooth.
Looks a nice clean unit and a bargain at under £600.

Yes, it sticks out about 3-5mm, looks good enough for a casual look though. In the dark, just looks original.

Hurdy...  where did they install your reverse cam?  Can you see it, or is it behind the number plate or something?

IIRC i did it all for about £200, that got me bluetooth, gps, 80gbs worth of music, touch screen, dvdrw, wifi..........you name it, i had it, carputers are far more fun than proper stereos,

i'll do the same again in my golf at some point.

Camera is only about 1.5cm in diameter and is located on the underside of the car's rear bumper. It is still higher up than the underside of the car and so there is no danger of catching it. You cannot see it unless your head is literally a foot from the floor. I'll get a piccie out when I can. :cool:

I hadn't thought about taking this route before, but it looks like a good method of getting all you want for not much outlay. My only issues would be having to make (or have made for me) a custom pod and the possibility of having to alter the dash when the car is only a couple of months old.
