i had a play with one in my old mark 2, on the straights he was right up my jaxi but on the twisty bits he was no where to be seen. possibly the worst driver in history. I was in my 1.6 driver at the time

oh aye, I dont bother racing anything in the boat to be honest. my driver was slammed 80mm too so was like a go cart!

the fact it has well over 400bhp helps aswell. it is not just a 16v golf

i was so close to buying an evo1 the other week when the rallye was doing my head in. 370bhp for less than 4 grand.. it was mint.. more i think about it the more i regret not buying it, even just to sell on again
