VW Dealerships How they treat you?
« on: 05 February 2004, 17:04 »
Hi All,

I own a VW and have made the mistake of assuming VW Dealerships are the best people to fix your car whenit goes wrong. I have had a nightmare with them. Am I the only one?

Could any of you let me know if you have had negative experiences of VW dealerships, whether it be buying or servicing you car

Cheers

I gotta use a dealer because of warranty, but fortunately my dealership (Vindis, St.Ives, Cambridgeshire) is awesome.

Very knowledgeable, polite etc etc. Would have no qualms in ecommending them to anyone.

When i showed up with my MK2 VW, A scruffy 18 year old skateboard with cuts and bruses from skateing all over him and walked into a VW dealer to help my mum choose her new car (which ended up being a VW Bora Sport TDI) they took one look at me and just ignored me  >:(

My local VW garage treats me like a king, (it helps that i have family working there) ... my warranty has paid for fuel management systems, fuel injectors, throttle bodies, HT leads, 3x distributor caps, 2x rotor arms... lol

Im happy with my service, VW phoned me with a survey a few days back and I just gave em 5 stars for everything

mine come out and have a look at the car sometimes. always interested in what I've been doing and my future plans.

The parts guy is a little confused when I order bits for the mk3 though. I have to explain to him I've got a mk3 dash in my mk2.

I wonder what they'll say when i've got the new engine ;D

I use the parts department at Colbornes in Woking, very helpful and quick.
The service department however like most is pretty much gaybar.
Service advisors think they know everything.
Yep  :D
