I was told that they have no idea of delivery date until they receive their build date. They can usually work that out quite accurately once build date has been given. Build date is entirely down to the bods at the factory.. I guessing... but once its scheduled your dealership should know. I wanted to add extras but was told this may push it down the pecking list.. so thought stuff it!! only 9wks to go

Mine was ordered on March 3rd, and turned up 14th June - almost 15 weeks later.

The build date was given to me on the 7th of May telling me that it was build week 20 (14th May > )
One you get your build date its likely to be around 4-5 weeks till your car arrived.

Just keep holding on guys... its worth it in the end

Maybe this'll cheer you up...

Ordered standard GTi with xenons, highline on 30 May.  Still no build date, but told it's likely to be end September.

Wait even worse, as I bought a 10 year old Astra 1.4 to get me around meantime as last GTi expired and went to someone more capable in Leeds for restoration.

On a serious note tho, I think you have limit them V6's to below 3000rpm for x amount of miles, cant remeber how many now.

On a serious note I would like to know what happens if you dont bother sticking to the 3000rpm limit on a new R32. Mine is a lease so Im thinking that I have to give the car back after 2yrs and dont really give much of a hoot as long as the problems that arise are not mine! (sorry!)

Altho I probably will stick to it for the 1st 500miles or so.. anyone have any idea how long I should be driving calmly for??
