amp attatchment help

hay havent had much luck with my other post, so just wondering if any1 has a blueprint pic of a mk3 so i can find out how to attach my wooden amp board in the drivers side rear arch...im looking at self tapping screws but want to be carefull with fuel tank etc.



heres the wooden wall ive cut to fit....



Cheers any comments welcome as its just sliding around my boot at the mo...

There is only a small section of metal you can attach it to at the very rear of the boot side.

I made up an angle metal bracket to support my amp. Go to my Project page and find the link from there.

Its the petrol filler pipe thats the problem mate. There is only about 40mm wide by 150mm high to be able to fix anything to and thats right at the back with the central locking pump in the way as well.

cheers len for the ideas, ive been sat in the boot for an hour and found out how im going to attach it.
I would have pinched your idea but i dont have the tolls to make a bracket like yours.

Im sticking with the wooden panel with two amps attached to it, Basicly ive made two small brackets that secure it in either corner of the board, as its a tight fit it should hold.

Il post some pics of it when ive fitted and carpeted it.

Yea i suppose the pillar drill helped! but other than that it was just a hacksaw and some nuts and bolts. And I got the metal angle from B&Q!

Im half way there amps are fitted snugly and all thanks to my dads suggestion! i should always listen to a joiner when it comes to wood tho! lol




Just need to carpet it  :cool:
