Exhaust for a GTi
« on: 22 April 2007, 10:26 »
A friend of mine has a '99 V-reg GTi, and wants to uprate the exhaust but has some concerns as the bumper is lacking a cut-out. What's the best way to get around this? And what system would you recommend?

Cheers.

Asking the question again in the correct forum, and certainly not in the Mk5 boards!

Not really rude, maybe mildly sarcastic! - afterall, if you look up there ^^^^, it does state "Model specific >> Golf mk5:smug: - clearly, the OP does NOT have a mk5!  :nerd:

We "could" try to guess at some answers, but surely the most appropriate (and honest) advice, would actually be to point the OP in the right direction!

Sorry skyblueads I am unable to help but you may like to try the MKIV's.

I didn't actually point him in the right direction, because I wasn't actually sure weather it was a 3 or 4 !!!

to answer your question at least

get a V6 4MO valence for about £30 and that will sort your problem out for the exhuast  that will allow for a twin exit.  If you're going for single exit then get an Anniversary valence.

Hope that helps

Meeeeeee   - shurely not ???

If the OP had actually read the FAQ, and also realised which car he was asking about, or even started his post with something like "hey, I'm new, and I'm not quite sure if this is the correct area to post, but, I have a . . . etc" - then he would have got a much more helpful response, and I'm sure Phil would agree too!
