I'm getting a badgeless grille fer me MK3 and just had a quick look at how the original grille's attached - looks pretty fiddly (bolts under light or sumat!) any tips?

Just clips on as far as i know, Mine did anyway i took it off the other day.  Clips on at the top and there are little clips at the bottom 2 mins with a screwdriver should see it off.
10 golfs and counting! 

Engine cranes = the ultimate tool to test the tensile strength of Everything you didn't disconnect!

yup. piece of pee to get off.

just had to ditch my badgeless one for a standard non GTI one from the scrappy, cos it was covered in rust.  :cry:  Im looking for a new badless one though, where did you find yours? volksbits seems to be cheap. but im not sure about the all plastic ones, could look a little flimsy.

quite a few of em on here bought the cheap one of ebay - looks proper good like when theyre on.

Yea even the cheep ones seem to do the job perfectly well, they good as good as any other when painted/fitted
