A friend of mine who owns an 8 valve golf mark 2 is adement that his car is faster off the mark to say around 40mph then myMark 5 Gti with Dsg or any Mark 5 Gti. he says that on the Mk 2 forums they say it is even with any major mods, i know his has been cammed and larger exhaust then standard, but surely it cant beat it ?? can it???

even with a cam and exhaust the mk2 8 valve will only be about 125 130 bhp tops, so i doubt it very much indeed
