Lowering Springs

Ive seen in a few places that the shocks from a GTI/VR6 wont fit other models is this true?  If so is this the same for the springs as im looking to lower my 1.4 ryder 40mm all round and most spring sets I see state GTi&VR6

They all will fit but some companies quote gti/vr6 different due to the engine's weight I believe.... And the gti/vr model's has gas shocker's as standard fit but the size and fitment is the same.. are you swapping the shocker's too or just spring's???

One last thing is to make sure you get the correct diameter spring's as the size changed in 94ish

I was thinking of changingt he shockers and the springs but also tried to look into just getting springs.

When I order some Ill state my vehicle details so hopefully they will come correct.

If you want any kind of handling get the shocker's too.....I am guessing the one's on your car are probably past it anyway... i went for sachs and boge shocker's are they are well priced..try euro car parts or gsf for a price
