Martin,

If you are able to, (not trade secrets etc.) could you give us some idea of what additional charges we could expect for mods to our cars?
Maybe in a general percentage type way?

Like alloy wheels - if they are standard on a car do we get charged extra if we fit different ones?
Then for say a K&N filter (or any other make)
A ss exhaust.
Body mods

Things like that.

Like alloy wheels - if they are standard on a car do we get charged extra if we fit different ones? Usually no extra premium if under £1500 in Value but often incurs slight increase in excess

Then for say a K&N filter (or any other make)
A ss exhaust. K+N & SS exhaust  - again usually no increase as long as no more than 10bhp gain

Body mods  Pretty much as with alloys but even for more than £1500 value for body mods the premium increase is usually very small, however the increase to the overall value of the vehicle may make more difference than the mods themselves

These are a general guideline so may vary slightly with the different underwriters we use.

Hope that helps

ok cool.

my insurer baffled me when they said if my Brock B2's go missing off the rallye, they'd have to replace them with what the car came out of the factory with... good luck finding a set of brand new sebrings i say.

See this is what i was thinking, that like for like. I am keeping my original bumpers. And if my body kit gets damaged I can repair it.
