Shes due for a service in the nxt 1000 miles or so, so i will drop the bombshell then

How do you know it's due for a service? Mine's coming upto 12 months old with nearly 7K on the clock...
Am I right in thinking something flases up on the dash when it's due? And what are we talking for a first service? £150?

just had my 1st major one today, total bill £576!, although, take this out  2 tyres fitted £147 each, brake fluid change cus shes now 2 yrs old.
1x punture repair, all those outside of normal 1st service, mines done 15000, so my estimate would be about £200 or so.

Turn the ignition on (but don't start the engine), put on seat belt (or wait for seat belt reminder to disappear), then press and HOLD the "00" trip reset button for at least 2 seconds.  The trip meter will initially zero, but providing you keep the button pressed, will then revert to the stored value, and the SID will show.

Thanks for that info, just tried it.

Twelve months old, 8000 miles and mine is due in either 4000 miles or 77days (Longlife).

Is that good?

Well, it is good news that you have got the info up, but bad news that you are on the LongLife regime!

I really should do a thread on the requirements of LongLife vs Time and Distance, and then get the Mods to sticky it!
