It's MOT time, so I'm replacing the discs, pads & rubber brake pipes on my '90 16v GTi, when I notice grease has spewed out of the offside outer CV boot & covered everything..
As per usual, the "Paynes manual" has bugger all info on replacing the boot, so do I need to undo the hub nut, the 2 lower suspension strut mounting bolts, the tie-rod end, and the lower balljoint, or can I remove the driveshaft without using special balljoint splitter tools that I haven't got?
Any advice would be soooo welcome, ta..
