Right, as some of you may be aware I have been slowly, and I mean slowly, building my mark 2 16v back up again after the crash in November 2005.
The work was put on hold because the geezer who owns the unit I used to have was a bit of a bell end and made us move everything out whilst the council came round to inspect the unit. This meant I couldnt work on the car. That was supposed to be for two weeks but turned out to be 4 months. So as it stands now the car is back on my drive at home with no wing, or bumper on the car looking a terrible state.
Now after scrapping my scirocco I was wondering whether it would be worth doing the same to my valver and then just buying a new one, start again. So i was wondering whether you lot could advise me on what to do from a neutrals perspective.
Reasons for scrapping my 16v:
Quick cash,
Horrible looking shed off the driveway,
be down to just the one car, which i can sell then buy another valver.
Its a Cat C right off so will be hard to sell on anyway.
It needs a fair bit of work to do.
I cant afford to rent another unit to store it in at the moment.
My mechanic is busy at the moment with his project so will not be hard to find time for it.
Reasons against:
I have come this far so I may as well finish it.
If I cant find another Royal Blue valver I will be stuck with 3 panels in that colour.
Lots of time and money wasted.
would be a shame to scrap a decent ish shell and engine.
Your thoughts please?
