Planning to give my Mk2 GTI (big bumper model) some TLC over the next couple of days so decided to try and fit the new fog lights I bought a few months back. Only problem is I haven't a scooby how to do it, thought it would be straightforward to do (undo a few screws and hey presto) but looks like it is a bit more complex. Does anyone know what is the best way to do this, can I just unbolt them from behind the indicator lense or am I best to remove the front bumper? If the bumper has to be removed, how easy is this to do and how accessible are the bolts?
Also just started getting a clunking noise from the front of my car which is doing my nut in. Seems to only occur when I pull off from a standstill and doesn't seem to co-ordinate with changing gear or anything. Seems to be coming from the floor underneath the centre console or thereabouts and best way to describe it is almost like the seat is loose and rocking back and forward (it doesn't appear to be). If anyone has any ideas of what it could be then it would greatly appreciated.
Wouldn't mind but just got the car back after shelling out loads of money to get work done on it including new front shocks, top mount etc
