New Exhaust and Induction Kit
« on: 10 April 2007, 15:08 »
On the hunt for a new exhaust and induction kit for a 2003 130. The ones i've liked the most so far are the milltek exhaust with the V6 4motion rear exit and the pipercross viper kit. couple of questions though:
1. are there any other kits or systems worth looking at? :undecided:
2. if i go for the milltek, would it be better to get the resonated system or non-resonated?
3. any real difference in power output?

my heads bursting thinkin about it now!!

I would stick to a panel filter, such as the Jetex and go for a custom made exhaust, you can have it look and sound as you want then

i like the milltek exhaust, the difference is that the resonated system has an extra silencer and non-resonated doesn't. awesome gti say that the non gives the diesel engine a more petrol sound, just don't want it sounding like a machine gun!! if anybody has or knows someone who has a system fitted, could you let me know which one sounds better. think the panel filter is spot on mate. have read that i should stay away from oily filters and go for a cotton one. True??

just spoke to a milltek distributor and he offered me the large bore downpipe for the front of the system. i asked him if this replaced the cat and he told me it did and that it would not affect the emissions for an MOT. is this true? if so, i imagine that should free up a few ponies!!
