Tilt / slide sunroof?
« on: 05 April 2007, 22:40 »
Have found a tilt / slide on a Cordoba which I really like the look of.  Will it fit?  If I remember Joe was talking about an Audi one on his motor, but a Seat one....?

Here's hoping- please give me some good news!

Yeah, useful stuff- thanks for that! The one I am looking at has the glass roof (tinted) rather than the panel (which I am quite keen on) but the only bugger is that the headlining and trim in the donor are light so will need to source a winding mech from a Mk3 or something....

It was the mech and runners that were more of the issue than the panel itself, as measurements seem to match, but hoping to get back up to Mr Scrap today......

Thing about them is, that the measurements can seem on, but i seem to remember joe having a problem with his being too large. to fit in the roof of the golf. I could be wrong, but it would seem a shame to go through all this and then it be out by a few mm.

Totally agree!  Will measure up fully when I can get back up there, and if it all matches up will post details of the conversion.

Out of time today.  It's either a visit to scrappy or BBQ and Beers this afternoon......  I love my Golf but not that much!

I really doubt it would fit straight in, its probably the same as a MK3, passat or Corrado one which wont fit.
The only pannels I know of that are a direct swap are the Scirocco and old square audi 80 roofs!
