. . . . whilst an interesting story, I certainly wouldn't rely on 4Car for any "facts"

torque converter".
FFS, the DSG does NOT have a torque converter - it actually has 2 wet multi-plate clutch packs (similar to motorbike clutches), and certainly has no function of converting torque!!!!
