Schmidt 16x9j's Yay or Nay???
« on: 03 April 2007, 17:59 »
been offered some 16x9j Schmidt Moder line wheels today, my big question is how much arch work will be req to get these to fit?

I allready have the rear arche lips cut away but my front wings are std with a set of G60 arches rivited on.

Cheers
Darren

depends what offset they are, should be ok on the rears if you've had them worked, fronts might need a bit of rolling to clear when you turn etc. sweet wheels though!

How much is the car lowered. with that offset it sounds like arch mods will be needed though

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

Only 20mm over a std gti if I'm right in thinking a gti is 20mm lower from a non gti Golf (the kit was a 40mm lowering kit)
If you got PVW this month then go to page 133 and you will see my Dub with a side on view.

How much does arch work cost roughly?

I've got 15x7s offset 24 on my standard height gti and have a bit of scrubbing when going down dips etc - also want to lower it slightly!
