Hey mrtibbs27

Did you get any further with the info from that TX tracker firm you were dealing with, as mentioned over in Hurdy's Ed30 thread? http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=56699.10

Be good too see what they are all about

Quick hello to everyone first, i've just bought a Golf GTI which i'm really impressed with.  Glad to see there is great uk forum for Golf GTI owners, just installed by car kit in about an hour and a half thanks to the great instructions posted on ths site.

I'm really interested in this too, cant seem to find their web site though, tried all sorts of serach words in Google.  What do you reacon to just buying some Tracker window stickers from e-bay, might make them think twice and move on to the next car?

some say good idea about the stickers, but keep it quiet, if our resident TAMER hears of this, he might just chew your testicles!

Yeh ok point taken but in fairness I did get the idea from an old post on this forum in the first place.  I'm really keen to find out about the spec and cost of that TX tracker though.

Righty, my teeth are well and truly sharpened . . .

Welcome to the forum, slane - I trust you had a good read, there have been either two or three previous threads on tracking devices, and the window stickers were discussed in detail previously.  A quick breif - don't bother with the window stickers!

Rgds, and enjoy your stay here, be it short or long!

I have stickers and think they are a good idea. Your average thick theif won't know that they are not real and it may encourage him to go to the next gti in the road. I understand that a "professional" car thief will know they are fake, but they are unlikely to look at one without stickers and think "hmm, I'll leave that, it may have a tracker".

Your average dumb thief will not be able to nick a GTi anyway. We're talking professional thief's here.
