Mk2 Buying Guide

Hey

As I'm in the market for a Mark 2 Golf GTi i was just wondering what things I should look out for when I go look at some cars.
What should I check or keep an eye out for under the bonnet and around the car? Such as things that usually go wrong etc.
I just basically want to know what traits I need to look for to make sure I buy a quailty car and don't make a mistake 

The last thing I want to do is become a tyre kicker!  :embarassed:
