1990 16V Cutting Out when Clutch depressed?
« on: 24 March 2007, 17:21 »

the valver has developed an annoying habit...starts up fine (ish)...well tick over is about 900rpm and battery light stays on until revved a little.

..however, when coming to a stop at lights, junctions, roundabouts etc the second I come to a full stop, i.e depress both clutch and brake she cuts out!!!!...every f***ing time!!!!

If i slow down gradually using only the brake, then come to a full stop she is ok 7 out of 10 times but even then can cut out.

Please help as the constant rolling "bump starts" are giving me whiplash!

I had this, cured it by getting it set up (idle and CO) and replacing the ISV control module with one off fleabay

Cheers fella, I've replaced the ISV and pi**ssed about with the "tickover screw thingy" on the throttle body and it is a little better....

....think your right, might just want setting up properly...anyone recommend anywhere near Wrexham / Chester/ Warrington?

Aaron you might want to give Andy at PSI in Stoke a ring he set the car up that you sold me and smoothed out the power band.
