My wheel wont come off..

so yea, my car has a flat. i have tried to take the wheel off but it wont move at all. not even in the slightest way. ive tried everything. kicking it etc. i think it may have seized on there. any advice? and behind it, i think part of the tire may have come off of the rim, so i dont think i could cover the puncture then put some air in it. very frustrating

The alloy hub sticks to the steel hub, its a pain.

Jack the car up so a good 4" are clear under the wheel then turn to face away from the wheel and backheel the tyre/rim at the top. Rotate the wheel 180 then do it again. Now rotate 90 (1/4 turn) at a time, backheeling the top edge of the rim. It will come off.

Soak the hub from the centre cap and bolt holes wi wd40 and leave for 15 mins it will help

I had that with my Mk3 and I ended up using a hammer and block of wood and hitting the wheel rim to remove it.

You have to be careful you don't damage the rim but it worked for me.

I'll give that a go. I'm not too bothered about the rims. the previous owner scratched em up pretty badly already.

yeah when i buckled my rear axle on my clio that stuck the wheels on quite good - i managed to get it off with a hammer and a bit wood too.

put some copper grease on when you refit your wheels so that doesnae happen again!

My o/s/f wheel is the same (only that one) and i use a mallet when i need to take off, and that is with copper grease all over the hub and wheel bolts
sound's like a common problem to me.....
