It took about an hour - was taken by surprise with the allen key bolt to the lower section - it takes a 6mm key and I had a 5.5mm! Fortunately, I thought, I was on the next road to a small independent VW garage - went in and asked to buy or leave a deposit for a small 6mm key - Would you believe the bigger woudn't even entertain the notion that I would leave cash for him (Last time I get repairs off him or recommend him!). Then went to a nice saab garage next door and the guy gave me a key for free!
Anyway, not a hard job - just a little fiddly - Also found a vaccum leak at the same time. Now my Golf Mk2 is running like a dream.
