Good money saving tip - if you have the patience
« on: 15 March 2007, 17:34 »
Ever been happily driving, minding your own business when all of a sudden out of nowhere comes an abomination on wheels screaming right up behind you? normally with the obligitory body kit (that doesn't quite fit) big exhaust, dodgy 2 tone flip paint and under floor lighting..

I am the proud owner of a 96 16v GTi, in the past when people have done this to me, I've put my foot down and either got away and had to stop at lights, or had to pull up at a roundabout only for them to do exactly the same thing again.

I was recently the victim of a near anal probing by an astra when it did just that, came so close to my bumper at such speed I couldn't see his lights, being slightly pissed off by this, I snapped and took down his registration.

Went on to my insurers website and stuck his reg in to the database out came the BEST result..

Now, I've seen this car several times since, each time the little pleb is baiting me for a chase, I think no..  I will not waste my hard earned petrol flooring my precious car to get away from your peasant mobile... thus saving money!

easier way to save money, specially if you have a slight rust problem on the rear, when someone comes up doing that, ram the brakes on, make sure he is up close enough to hit you, it will be his fault on the insurance and i doubt he will do it again.
