Hello there
« on: 13 March 2007, 15:40 »
Hi to you all.
Just registered on here, mainly because I'm on the look out for a Mk 3 gti. Preferably in Black, under 100k miles, serviced up to the max and basically not wanting for anything. Would also appreciate if it wasn't possible to buy off one of you guys if you could help me out with what to look out for when buying a car. I had a mk2 16v a few years ago and I've had a mixture of all sorts since, but the old dub vibe is beckoning me back. I have my current car up for sale at present which will finance my new car, so hopefully in a weeks time I'll be ready.
Anyway, hope you guys can help me out and I look forward to getting back into the vw scene again!!

Well my car sold  So I have a couple of grand sat here wanting to be spent  I've looked at around 7 cars in the last week and still looking. Have extended my requirements to a black one or a mauve one. Having read various articles it sounds like I'll be needing a 16V or a VR6. Any offers, can collect this weekend.  :smug:

keep on the lookout for a 16V or a VR6 and don't go for an 8v, you'll be disappointed.....oh yeah and welcome to the site.

Thanks Gibby. I am going for the 16v or vr. I am currently looking on here, ebay, club gti, pistonheads, autotrader & edition 38. Anymore places I can look, I'm getting so frustrated after 7 or so dogs that I've seen  :undecided:

You could also try www.dubforce.net/forums they have mostly have other motors and it's a smaller site, but there does seem to be some quality motors on there sometimes, but not many mk3s.
