I was looking on ebay as you do... and I saw this,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180095381371&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Fcgiurl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%252Fws%252F%26fkr%3D1%26from%3DR8%26satitle%3D180095381371%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1
and read this comment "Now! any one who knows there Golf GTi's know that, through some miracle of science, they run much smoother with TAN ECU's than with the Bosch ones"
is this just hear say or anyone else know this to be true??

well mine is a bosch and it idles at a solid 850 rpm, at 1.2% CO (on gas tester at MOT station last weekend) and never misses or anything, and untill last saturday it has been stood for nearly a year, so guess it must be a myth.
