Chassis Stiffening
« on: 11 March 2007, 22:07 »
Where's the best place to get a set of front and rear strut braces from for me 16valve please??
And i was looking at suspension on ebay, and a cheap set of coilovers were fairly do-able or am i better off getting a non adjustable setup??
The cars going on the road, but its main use will be track days.

Advice is all welcome please.
Dave

You want Eibach or H&R Braces.

A six point roll cage welded in (not bolted) can make a massive difference to handling and no need to fit a rear strut brace, front one will still come in usefull though..

My intention will be to go for a roll cage in the end i think, but trying to keep costs down for now....

Where's best to find the eibach or H and R braces then??  Ebay only seem to have sparco or omp ones.

Thanks

Halfords can order all Eibach suspension products, and as they're high-end products they're not to expensive.

lower strut brace wont make much difference on MK2s as they already have a strong subframe.  Worth it on a MK1 though!
