RS6 18" alloys

I have a 2002 mk4 GT TDi 150 Golf, running on standard 16" GTi rims.

I have been offered a set of 18" RS6 rims but I need to know 1) if they will fit, ie what offset is acceptable and 2) what size tyres would fit.

Any ideas?
