To lower or not to lower??

I want to put some new suspension on the gti as it bottoms out fairly easily but I don't know what to put on it. I can't lower it much because my drive is steep as f**k and I will rip off my bumpers/exhaust. Coilovers seem to start at about a 20mm drop which would be about right for me, but I'll not use the adjustable part of it again so it seems a bit pointless. Any ideas?
Or suspension for sale??

if you're not goin low, then stick to regular suspension. i think eibach do a -20mm kit which would give a great ride but keep you at a reasonable height.

As above, but replace the shocks with Boge Gas Turbo from GSF and get new bump stops and top mounts too.
