Pollen filter....

Braught some service items from vw for my valver...one of which was a pollen filter, anyone no where it goes and how to access it? probably simple but ive never fitted one and ive never looked for it. :smiley:

usually under the scuttle panel, above the cabin fan intake.

yep, as your looking down the car from the from, remove the plastic trim around the wipers only on the right hand side, it's under there next to the ECU, can't miss it mate.

basically it under the wiper panel, behind the glovebox - the metal clip in the centre of the plastic panel is a pain in the ass to get off - i managed to undo three or four of the round plastic studs int he tim panel, and get sufficient clearance to lift out the filter housing (some model years have a frame the filter membrane sits in, other are a complete filter unit you slot in)

Yea and watch the plastic bits under the bonnet hinge. They are very flimsy and difficult to get out!
(i broke mine!)
