got a few things planned.... hardcore dubz will be re doin me bumper and bonnet to rid the stone chips.... single wiper or areo wipers, new gear knob and thats about it...runs at 190bhp for now ... who knows when ive sold the mk3 16v and the mr2 turbo i might bung a charger on....

just fitted me alpine dab head unit and neo in car jukebox mp3 hard drive (35gb) and controller....

well got new gear knob today (willpost pic later..) a black leather/alloy wolfburgs job... looks sweet... gotta find a new headling to get retrimmed in black leather to match the rest and black sunvisors etc... now thats gonna be a challenge!!

today i have painted my calipers, disc back plates, front hub carriers and drive shafts as the were lookin a bit tired.... so a wire brush a tin of metallic black fast drying enamel paint and job a goodun... pics deffo up tomorrow of gear knob and calipers etc, headlining to be retrimmed in black (material undecided yet  ) may be a new steering wheel but not a ott one.. and single areo wiper (gonna order that tomorrow) , i also got some new tyres fitted all round on sat  not a good brand but for £180 all in fitted there black round with loadsa tread they will do me....205/40/17s and they look pretty stretched on the bbs's  so nearly ready for full on show stuff.... general clean under bonnet and slam it in the weeds

got a knock on suspension topmount so new moutns/bearings ordered... hopefully here tomorrow so will be fitted and ill wind them coil overs down another inch or 2.... looks quite boring really... so ive been havin wheel thoughts

havent done much .....

bought these yesterday as fed up of the standard mk3 speakers f@rtin at me!!




yeah before any audio heads moan to them selves.... there not the best replacement on the market.... but i also have a track car to run, another mk4 gti and mrs and 3 kids and bills......

but there alpine and match the rest of me gear, set the headunit up better after downloadin a manual and they sound better, really crisp and clear, bass is poor, but there not really bass speakers.... a pair of alpine subs and v12 alpine amp will cure that part....... when i go shopping tomorrow....

will then adjust coilovers etc after boot weight changes... lol...

well i couldnt be @rsed to travel far today so got the best i could locally... got alpine 12 " sub, no one in skeg had any alpine amps for sale, so i settled for a kenwood one for now (which you cant see anyways..) , and a black box for it to sit in, and lead set, i also run extra rca leads so if i need any more amps etc there there ready.....yeah its not a ground breaking in your face system, but now ive sussed the head unit functions properly it sounds crackin!!! thats all for sounds, for now

didnt get time to alter ride height as something came up, so ride hight adjustment this week, decat and then try to keep it clean whilst using it... which is proving very difficult!!

havent used it since gti spring festival the other sunday, as ive been usin the van and fittin out the inside of it  new german plates came the other day, and with the very long winded v5 logbook finally making an appearence i went to my local dvla office and transfered the private reg on, so ive now fitted the plates!!, the rear was a simple choice, but the front proved a bit harder... ive had the plate in the dash since skeg vegas show, but wanted to put the new one on the front but with out hiding any of the smoothed front bumper....





still havent got round to adjusting the ride height, will do this on saturday when i give it a clean for the 'big fat tour of the north' also gonna adjust the damping on the coilovers if i can suss out which way to turn which knob!!!

 

so should have some low belly and moving shots on sunday

hate to say it but...................

ive bunged it up for sale!!

theres an ad in the cars for sale section, or its on piston heads and ebay, as is in pics but back on the p reg plate p86lrx as my private reg is now removed, my sub / amp / alpine headunit are removed and in me van now (as i use that all the time!!) , so the car is back to above without audio, ive fitted a sony xplod cd player, and if some one gives me the asking price it throw in the alpine componet speakers to replace the standard vw ones, .... car will be on the golfgti.co.uk clubstand on sunday at gti festival if any one wants to see it in the flesh....

  no silly offers either please... i could break it and sell it with standard parts for alot more!!, but it would be a crime to break it!! thats why i bought it!!
