« on: 04 March 2007, 13:46 »
Is this the answer to all the problem ive heard of when it comes to the dump valve issues?

The question is will this solve all the engine management problems on the 1.8 20v turbo and still give the woosh we desire?

Looks like a new product so I'm not surprised noone has commented yet. Previous hybrid valves still led to ecu issues, but forge seem convinced this will work on the vag 1.8T's. If that's what you want then go for it, if there are any problems with it I've no doubt that forge will offer a full refund.

well they seem to fink it'll work so it proberly will.
but reason dump valves cause engine lights to come on is cuz of the air flow sensor reading
X amount of air going through the intake and then the dump valve dumps most the air out
which confuses the ECU finkin it got more air then it has, causing running prob and light to come on.
i'v seen ppl try to put re-cir valve and a dump valve on together and stil hav probs.

HMMM dunno it doesn't say weather its cable throttle or DBW. you'l have to let me know how it goes though cos iv got a bailey re-circ with induction kit which give you the whoosh noise but not quite as loud as a blow off valve  :undecided:
